Name of Event:  10th Annual Rally on Ridge

 Event Date:  Saturday, July 27, 2019

Location:   Cherry Hill School, 50440 Cherry Hill Rd., Canton MI  4818                                         

Brief Description of Event: Rally on Ridge is a food truck rally featuring live music, lawn games, a beer & wine garden and more!  The event is a fundraiser for the Canton Farmers Market. 

Sifts Available  

 Setup:  Shift 2:30-5 p.m.

  • Setup tables and chairs and lawn games

Beer & Wine Garden: Shift 5-9 p.m.

  • Check ID’s
  • Issue wristbands
  • Monitor entranceway to beer & wine garden

Event Support:  Shift 5-10 p.m.

  • Direct guest and answer questions
  • Clear and wipe down tables
  • Take trash and recycling to dumpsters and recycling bins
  • Clean-up
  • Break down tables and chairs after event. 

Attire: Khaki or black casual pants and polo type shirt. 

Volunteer Parking:  Parking for volunteers will be available in the public parking lot on School House Road.  Access to the lot is on Cherry Hill Rd., just west of the Cherry Hill School.

Applications & Information

Volunteer Training

Canton Township volunteers are required to attend training a minimum of one time per year. The training provides volunteers with information about upcoming events, customer service, and emergency preparedness. All registered volunteers will be emailed of upcoming volunteer training dates.

Meals on Wheels and Pheasant Run Golf Club Volunteers

For positions requiring driving, volunteers must submit a Michigan Driving Record Check form, in addition to the Volunteer Application for Adults. Please complete sections 3 and 5.

Scholarship Opportunities

Canton residents who have lived in the Canton community for 2 or more years are eligible to apply for a Canton Leisure Services Scholarship that can be applied towards Leisure Services classes and programs. Recipients can receive up to $400 per family in a year and are required to provide 1 hour of community service for every $20 awarded.
